Post Fuzz Universe Tone in Amplitube 3
Been messing around with Amplitube 3 for a bit and this is the Fuzz Universe tone I came up with. Kinda difficult to replicate with humbuckers but I think it's fairly decent.

Let me know what you think/how to improve it! (And yes, I know I didn't play it properly.) Download.

It sounds good.
To my ears the only tweaking I would do is to move the EQing a little bit.
I'd add a little more clarity around the 3k range and a little more openness around 12k.
That should brighten up the tone a little bit and let the notes ring/bite just a wee bit more.

Right now your tone is just a little warmer and muddier than Paul's so those EQ changes should help get a little closer.
Definitely a nice preset you've created, well done.

Thanks. Just took your advice and bumped up some of the frequencies around there, and holy crap - it sounds fantastic! I still can't play anything like Paul, but at least I can sound badass to cover up my sloppy playing. Of course, it doesn't help that I've never actually learned the song properly either. I think something that makes a big difference to the song's main riff is instead of just playing the 5th and 7th of the D power chord, add in the F# in the bass - really makes it sound awesome. I'll probably learn this song properly over the holidays.

thank you for the preset.

I always wondered, why is there this Pyongyang (North Korea) hotel on the cover of fuzz universe ?
I never get it.
Name of the hotel is Ryugyong.

Someone has an answer ?

He explained it in one interview, but I can't remember where I read it.

Are you using some 'special' amp? Amplitube tells me that the preset uses something I'm not authorized for (?!); anyway, thank you for your efforts! Nice tone!

same thing for me.
You must be using another amp from the newer versions of amplitube.

Post pics of your preset please

No, but I do live in a third-world country (Scotland).

Ok, I know my problem: you are using something from the ''Custom Shop'' edition that I don't have (the Soldano amp and the two T-Rex stompboxes); I copied your setup with what I currently have, I don't have a clue on what sounds similar to the SLO100 and the two stompboxes. If anybody wants to work on it, http://www.mediafire.com/?p0mhzbymyleuyyz
