So what do you guys think about it. I played one at a local music store the other day and got my perfect tone out of it so im planning on buying one. I was just interested in what everybody thought about it in general. :D

Post RE: Johnson Millenium
Hey Dead,
I own two Johnson Millenium 250 heads. They are great! I finally have my ultimate tone. I would suggest getting the J-12 foot controller to help make your experience a little better. The down side to these amps is that if you play a bigger venue they seem to not have enough power( 250 watts may sound like a lot, but its not the same as 100 watt tube power amp). If you decide to get one let me know and I can give you some programs that are really terrifing. Just curious as to how much it is selling for?

Well you can buy the head for about 500 bux but i figured that 250 watts would be too much power for playing in my room and playing small gigs but if you say its not as much since its a solid state i guess ill go ahead and get one. im considering getting a 2x12 cab and a 2x15 cab for it(both closed back). I gotta sell my current amp first though. But yeah its definately what i want. Oh man you know whats a bitch, you can buy em branc new for 500 bux but everybody is still trying to sell em for like 900 on the net and stuff. BULLSHIT

Johnson J-Station is the shiznit! I use it for recording (s/pdif) and for my live pre-amp into a power amp and a 4 /12 cab. Sounds sweet like honey. Well, if you were to hook honey up to an amp it would sound sweet. I don’t know… I’m not good at connecting things like honey and tone together. I really don’t know. But the J-Station is very cool.

As much as I want to like the Johnson amp... I have heard my friends amp enough to determine that it sounds, *plastic*, at loud volume. When he records with it, it sounds fine. We ran it through my 4x12 Vintage 30 Marshall cabinet and the modeling presets were not so cool loud. A 250 watt practice amp is extreme. As a gigging amp... compare it to a simple, all tube anything. For the money you'll shell out for it (Johnson), a 30 watt Marshall and a few stomp boxes will suffice.
Tone vs. convenience.
