Post Rings and Watches?
Bored at work, soooo............

Anyone prefer to wear a ring or watch when they play? Its probably just a mental thing, but I really feel like my vibrato is about 30% sweeter with a watch on. Something about the extra weight just works for me.

Anyone else do anything like this?

I wear my watch on my right hand. Hmm... maybe it adds extra power to my riffing. I'll have to test that theory :)

I always have a watch on my left wrist, but sometimes, if I'm recording for example, I'll make a point to take off the watch.. just a weird mental thing.

I feel as though wrist watches on the picking hand only succeed in scratching the hell out of the guitar.

Then again, I don't wear any jewelry at all.

I don't wear anything on my right hand for that very reason. Don't want scratches.

I have a sticker on my guitar where my watchch touches the body. Also I have an extrea clear coat of paint on it. I'm not worrying about any scratches :)

Haven't worn a watch in years - if I want to know what time it is I've got my cell phone and/or my beeper. But after I got married I had a hard time getting used to playing with my wedding ring on - but now it doesn't bother me much. Don't think it affects my tone or vibrato in any way.

I wear my watch on my left hand (I'm right handed), no problem at all. I used to wear bracelets (different materials) on my right hand and they kind of annoys me. But I guess it depends on how loose it is on my wrist.

Sometimes I feel a "memory" of something against my wrist, so I don't wear things often on my hands/wrists.

I've got a bit of firm skin on the base of my right hand palm when it contacts the bridge. We all have that?

It feels very awkward to me playing with anything on my arms or wrists. I even roll my sleeves up if I'm wearing a jacket.

Palming-mute?

I roll up my sleeves. I wear big clothes so they'll stroke or mute strings randomly.
