It's getting close!
I really like the body with (still) sharp edges.
In fact a few years ago I was very close to ordering a custom made
epiphone like the one you're making with sharp edges
(not sanded/rounded smoothed).
The luthier had too much to do / the wait was too long, so it
never happened.

Well thanks!
But if you were to play in for about 5 minutes you would reconsider!
The edges are quite shard and they prevent access to the 22nd fret...I can't wait to put a radius on it!
But they are only slightly rounded not like a vintage Epi, all the way.
BTW that plate took a few hours to make and install, but I took my time so it came out pretty sweet!

You are right, that probably would have been a bad idea, my hands
would be all cut up by now...
I still think it looks good though.

No painting yet...can't even find a custom shop that does paints, I probably have to try a car shop!
I hope to resume today just fixed the car so the garage is clear to work in!

Time for an update!!!
I made the Epi back cover plates from some pickguard material...
With that done I can position them along with the POT and switch.
Hope to have it done within the next few days...
I still have to shape the access joint, radius the edges, mod the nut...,install the jack & somehow connect the jack to the POT???, and then there is the painting...
Now the pics >>>

I know! If you look at the Epis back you can’t quite make out how the jack is connected to the POT...???
My solution is drill into the Kahler rout! And then find a way to reach the POT.
That is the only thing that seems sensible...

You could either use a really long drill bit and get sort of a slight angle or drill right at the curve straight through and plug the hole, if you understand what I mean, I did the latter and it worked well for my coronet.
