Time for an update!!! :P

I have tested the Pink paint today, I used a spare bit of Alder I have and basically did the sanding, sealing, priming, painting and lacquering.
I was a little worried that the paint would come out darker, but it actually turned out very good! :D
I plan to sand the Epi flat tomorrow and seal it the next day...

Ouch, my eyes! :o

No, it is not 100% like Paul's, that would be impossible. I’d have to spend a lot of money perfecting it, plus it always changes depending on the light. So as I said before its close, considering the tin only cost me £2.29!

Again guys thanks for the comments!

Time for an update!!! :P

Here is the EPI right now, sealed with Rustin’s...

I got to rub it down a little more, but it looks fuckin’ good and shiny! :D

All holes have been filled and sanded flat.

I also managed to find, what I believe is the actual RACER - X Logo that was on Paul’s EPI!

My Photoshop skills are shit, but I managed to find a way to get the Logo close to Paul’s, I am trying to scale it up so it fits according to the pics...

Enjoy these new pics!

PS: - I have added a “Status of My RACER X Guitar Project(S):” to my sig, so everyone can see my progress, even if they don’t visit my posts...

And you’re not seeing things, I WILL be making my own Ibanez Telesavalas!!!

I am still getting all the parts for it, it’s gonna be a tough one and will probably happen after the ICE, maybe before... :chew:

I was just curious...
Are you going to keep these beautiful things when you're done, or are you going to sell them for a pretty penny to an interested nostalgic collector?

You should sell custom made guitars!

(Just a thought.)

I have a very hard time parting with any of my guitar…my first guitar was a shitty Squire I would probably only give it a 2/10 but I still had doubts if I wanted to let it go, eventually I sold it for parts I can still see it in my dreams!

I will definitely hold on to this one and the other two once finished.

And because of the amount of work that goes in to making these guitars I would expect a pretty penny back…

BTW thanks for the comments guys!

Going on the logo you have in your sig, I'd beg to differ. The white outline on the letters is not present on the left side on the back of Paul's as far as I can see. That's cool, because it makes the letters look a bit more 3D, rather than just outlined all the way around.

I know it looks ''3D'' in my sig but it must have been a print error in the YG mag...

This is the one I have been using, I have a few others and they do not have a 3D effect...

This is amazing. I admire your dedication and envy your skills.

Just a suggestion man.. you should add links to the threads in your sig.. make the words clickable links that take you to them! 8)
