Post Guthrie-Suhr NAMM/post-NAMM Clinic Tour
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year, guys! We've got a lot of things brewing for NAMM and post-NAMM activities and one of them will be another mini-tour in the US while Guthrie happens to be in the States. The demand from dealers, schools, fans and customers to see him live is really skyrocketing and we are obliged to meet that demand where and when we can.

So, here's the schedule of what we've got planned during and after NAMM.

Jan 16 Sat, 8PM - Clinic and concert at Tone Merchants featuring special guest Andy Wood, Joel Taylor on drums (Holdsworth), and Mike Pope on bass (Corea, Gambale, DiMeola). Please contact Tone Merchants for tickets:

www.tonemerchants.com

Jan 19 Tue, 7PM - Clinic and concert at GIT in Hollywood, CA featuring same lineup above. This show will only be available to GIT students and the main performance hall is expected to be packed for this event.

Jan 22 Fri, 7PM - Suhr clinic sponsored by dealer Nuts & Saddles in San Francisco, CA. Here are the details of this clinic in downtown SF.

http://www.nutsandsaddles.com/gg-event.pdf

Jan 23 Sat - Guthrie Master Class, clinic and jam concert sponsored by the Bradley School of Music in Concord, CA near SF. Contact Bradley School of Music for more info:

http://bradleyschoolofmusic.com/

Jan 26 Tue, 7PM - Suhr clinic sponsored by dealer Guitars, Etc. in Longmont, Colorado near Denver. Contact Guitars, Etc. for more info:

http://www.guitarsetc.net/

And then, off to Boston for a 3-day visit with events and shows sponsored by Berklee College of Music, Middle East Club, and Matt's Music featuring Guthrie with the Jon Finn Group. Special thanks to Berklee alumni Ryan McBride of McBride Sound Design for helping to organize these events.

Jan 28 Thu, 1PM - Berklee Performance Center master class at 1pm. This event will be open to the public this time, so non-Berklee students are all welcome.

Jan 29 Fri, 8PM - Guthrie will be playing at the Middle East Downstairs 480 Mass Ave in Cambridge at 8pm with the Jon Finn Group. Tix are available on ticketmaster.com right now, $18 in advance or $20 at the door. This is an 18+ show!

Jan 30 Sat, 7PM - Berklee Cafe 939 event to be announced. This may be a Berklee-only event so please plan on the other 2 events if you're a non-Berklee student. Will also feature product clinic in conjunction with Matt's Music.

When I click this link, I can't find any info on that date.

Do I need to contact them regarding tickets, etc?

Yes, please give Todd at Guitars, Etc. a call. They may not be charging for the event but you'll want to double-check.

BTW, you're in for a real treat because I hear Pablo himself will be at the Tone Merchants gig with his wife!

Actually, I was mistaken about Paul being at the Tone Merchants gig. He will be at the GIT clinic-gig on Jan 19 Tue. Sorry.

Saw the show with EricF... I was right in front of Guthrie... it was a religious experience.

I've never been so discouraged in my life.. like if watching Guthrie play didn't make me want to quit already.. Andy Wood just sealed the deal.

I'm still in shock.. too many fucking beautiful godly incredible perfect inspiring notes to take in all at once. At points I was almost brought to tears.

Second most amazing gig of my life.

The Guthrie GIT clinic/concert "event" that Paul and Emi are supposedly attending, is tonight. (19th) Or maybe it was this afternoon.

(hopefully Brono or Refried Bean will have some details, although both have been very quiet lately.)

I'm posting because these questions will lead to an update in the thread:

If you went - and that means you're a lucky M.I student - please post here and let us know your impressions. Like - how many people were in the auditorium, how long each person's set was, how long the whole clinic was, if there was a signing session afterwards, what guitars were played, what songs were played, if there were any Spinal Tap snafu moments, etc. The nitty gritty details!
