Tremolnos are really really awesome. Get one.

I have a 'tremol-no' the lo-tech DIY version. Amazing what can you do with some wood, plasic, cardboard and a nail file. :P

yeah it just blocks the trem and nothing else :P

Tremol-nos are awesome. I have two of them, and one of the guitars also has a D-Tuna too, so I set the guitar to dive only and engage the D-Tuna with no tuning issues whatsoever.

Definitely worth getting. Locking to hard tail mode makes string changes so easy on floating trems.

I've written a review of sorts on Jemsite's comparison shopping site.

honestly I find them just alright. When using the thumbscrews I find they just dont have a good enough grip on the shaft to keep it from slipping, especially when using only the deep c or whatever for only lowering pitch.

its not really "the best of both worlds" as its touted to be, but its still an alright product.

I have a tremol-nay in my 7 string and it's easy to install, but I don't know if my opinion counts since I also installed a sustainiac in one of my guitars and so on

I hardly use it though, it actually makes the guitar seem to have less sustain and the tone loses some of the treblyness
but I'm sure this depends on the guitar
I only have it on in case of string breakage in a live situation
