Post My Fender vs Bare Knuckle Tele pickup video
Thought some of you lot might be interested to hear the difference between a set of Fender Vintage Noiseless Pickups and a set of Bare Knuckle Brown Sugars on my Tele.

The amp was set the same for the whole thing, I just used the volume pot for cleans and dirtys. The amp was left on and untouched whilst I was installing the pups for an accurate A/B test.

Id be interested to hear what any Tele players (or wannabes) think...

Just a wannabe here! Sorry

They both sound nice but I think I prefer the fender pickups :?

What do you think Supernaught?

I prefer the air-yness of the bridge BKP for sure, although theres not a lot in it.
Ill hold judgment on the neck untill Ive adjusted the height. At the moment it has the single coil quality that I was looking for that the Fender didnt, but its a little odd sounding. I do have it quite high up, so Ill see when its lowered.

Somehow it sort of sounds like your recording direct, it just seems buzzy and with harsh distortion, dunno what it is,

I also prefer the fender pickups over the other ones, it sounds like the bare knuckle bridge is hotter than the fender, but maybe the pickup was closer to the strings with it

sorry if my comment isnt all that positive, but i'd rather give my honest opinion, than tell you a lie :)

Could be the low volume Marshall, combined with Youtubes sucky compression :D

I had a bit more gain dialled in than I normally would with the Tele, just to get a bit wider range of sounds for a comparison.

Ill do another demo tomorrow with a cleaner setting, and try eqing the dirty tone a bit.

I love me some bareknuckles. :) Wish I could afford them. Nice playing as well.
