Post RG 770dx UPDATE: WHICH COMBO IS MORE PIMP!?
Edit: I still want to get one of these someday soon. My only beef with them is that the clear pickguard is too plain to me. So I was playing with some combos and want to know what you guys think would look the most pimp.

Let me know what you think. :)

Man, you have so many guitars. I don't think you need all of them, so give me a couple.

Get one if you can, they are excellent. I have the blue and the red reissues.

Here is my blue one with the the new RR Signature amp I just bought.

It's OK, but not much gain without pedals. Frankly it is unusable for most clubs I would play in, just WAY too loud. I didn't buy it to gig with though, bought it as an investment.

Thanks guys. Eric I really didn't mean to hijack your thread. I promise I really didn't. :o

To get back on the 770 topic, here is my other 770 reissue at a show in December. I can't say enough good things about the 770 reissues. For around a thousand bucks, they are an awesome value IMHO. I'm sure the originals are probably even better!

Hey, I bought an original 91 red RG 770 DX 2 years ago for 450€.
They play very nice and sound good althought I prefer my dk2M jackson over it as my main guitar.
Mine has a darker red colour, maybe from aging over time?

Oh my god man!!! Do you have any pics of the blue one in action??? Really your pics are the nicest I've ever seen of the 770s..

The one in that link comes close to 1600 usd! I'm getting mine for 635.

I'll post a picture here, only 'flaws' is that the truss rod cover is missing and one of the locking nuts is gone.. both easy replacements.

Oh yeah and dude high jacking is always forgiven when it results in awesome guitar porn.

Fuck yeah man! I just suggested one minutes ago in this thread..

http://racerxband.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=17360

Best straps ever.

But yeah I think that RG 770 is in amazing condition. If I didn't know any better I would think it's the reissue.

thx man, the guitar actualy has a lotta chips in the finish.
You can see one horizontal to the left of the edge trem.
also the former owner has worn down the red volume knob so you can see the white plastic underneath, a "starting to relic" ibanez!
Image
edit: added some pictures of the adged knob and the switchtip has some aging too, I bought the guitar that way so I can't take credit for the abuse.
