The guitar looks like Paul's PGM300 with the trem removed...but I can't see the cavity filling.

Was that photoshopped or Paul has a real white hardtail? That would make a killer new PGM from Ibanez

Yup, what you see is what you get. He has PGM's custom made for him w/out the trem. Just like the PGM 10th. I wish they sold em like that......

p.s. is it just me or is his website getting abnormally odd? even by pauls standards... :?

indeed....pauls attitude, for me, is half the reason why i like him. The other half is his playing.

Paul is on the cover of Young Guitar again. It seems like he's on there at least three times a year. Good for him.

Was that photoshopped or Paul has a real white hardtail? That would make a killer new PGM from Ibanez

Speaking of cavity filling, does anyone know what was done/used to fill the cavity left by a Kahler bridge? I have an old Dean Hollywood Z (Explorer type) and I want get rid of the Kahler copy and fill the cavity...

THANKS!

Pieces of wood are cut out to fill the cavity. Then you just place the hardtail over it.

Thanks! Didn't Paul also use some kind of putty on some of his other guitars? Just wondering...

The white PGM 300s that can be seen on PG´s new CD cover and on the frontpage of the latest "Young Guitar"-magazine are not custom made for Paul!
From Koichi at Ishibashi-Music I got the information that there will be a fixed bridge PGM available from this year´s July. It is called PGM 301.
I am quite sure that this information is right, but I fear that it will also be a Japan-only guitar just like the PGM 300.

BTW, on older pictures of Paul´s PGM 300s you could see that the tremolo was modified afterwards. Okay, this can be made by photoshop. But all these former guitars still had the locking nut for the Lo-Pro tremolo. The latest pictures don´t show them!
Well, this could also be made with photoshop, but I more think that the information from Ishibashi is correct

Hey Christoph! Good to see ya over here ;-)

Yes, I heard it from the man himself...PGM301's coming our way. More than likely, only a Japan production, but I am looking into it ;-)

Hi Eddie, nice to meet you! I didn´t know that you are also in this forum!
How small the world can be :D

Unfortunately it is quite sure that Rich won´t be able to catch some PGM 301s. Ishibashi seems to have a very good reputation, but I´d prefer Rich, because it is always a risk to buy an unseen guitar. But not from Rich I think.

However, do you already know if you will order one? And if so, when are you planning your purchase? ASAP?

I want to order one this summer but I am not sure if I should take the 300 or the 301. Right now I am searching for a PGM 500 so that I would have one PGM with a fixed bridge and one with tremolo 8)
But it is hard to find one here in Germany but probably also in the rest of the world... Do you know someone who might want to sell a PGM 500 or 300?

As far as I remember you have already ordered from Ishibashi, right?
Did you have to pay taxes or things like that?
I´ve heard from many Americans that they didn´t have to. Now I have found someone from the Netherlands who´s friend already ordered 2 guitars from Ishibashi and he also didn´t have to pay taxes.
Are the Americans supposed to pay taxes or duty, etc? Europeans are, but maybe I will have luck :?

Greets.

I still have hope for Rich. Once the 301's are released (in July?), I'll see what Rich can do. Otherwise, Ishibashi will get my $$.

I have ordered from Ishi before and they are great. Very well packed and a PROMPT service. I think it was 3 days from placing my order to my front door. Not a single problem with the guitar. Setup up fairly well and polished. I didn't pay any more taxes on it. I paid their asking shipping and that was it.

Here are some available:
EBAY LINK
EBAY LINK (also on this forum)
Rich

There was a 500 available last week that didn't sell.

Another option is the 2003 PGM30. Has the Edge Pro Trem and the Prestige neck on it. Great deal! Rich carries those, too;-)

Thanks for your tips, Eddie!
Unfortunately almost everybody who sells a guitar on ebay.com doesn´t want to ship worldwide.
It seems that Europeans deffinately have to pay taxes when ordering from the United States. I once ordered some preamp tubes from eurotubes and I also had to pay customs, taxes, etc. And the value was about 50 dollars, so...

I still hope that Europeans also don´t have to pay taxes when ordering from Japan just like the Americans. If so, there would be just a very little difference if I bought it new from Ishibashi...

Concerning the PGM 500, I will check the European market, but they are very very rare. There was one on ebay.de some time ago. It appeared several weeks. It was from a shop only a few miles away from me. On ebay they wanted 1200 euros, but in the shop the price was below 1000 euros as far as I can remember. So yesterday I called that shop and they told me that they sold it for a "blow-out-price". Maybe 800 euros which would have been okay, but well, bad luck for me

Is it right that the screws (I don´t know the right word) on the Paf Pros on the PGM 300 are black? I might want to chance at least the bridge pickup into a Tone Zone. Is the TZ also available with black "screws"?

The pole pieces on the PAF Pro are black. The pole pieces on the TZ are silver/chrome.

You can always order new poles in the color you prefer from Dimarzio. I ordered gold poles for my Breeds at $5 (US) per Humbucker (12 poles each)

Hi ,

I was lucky enough to catch a new PGM500 4 month ago , I called the Ibanez major-retailer directly to get information where to get that beloved PGM500 ,

I paid only 890 euros for it , and it was absolutly new.
I can give all of you the advice not to buy the PGM30WH cause if you want the real thing you should go with a 300 or there auqivalent models.

the sound of this guitar is amazing . very decent single coil sounds , and indeed like Paul said before :"twangy kinda sound" . It´s so much fun to play with , when I start noodling around I can´t stop for hours.

that´s it for now good night fellow boarders !!!
