did alistair tell you that?
Yeah, theres some hum, but its only really on the single coils. Im not sure if that just comes with the territory though.

Kinmans? Suhr pickups with the canceller thing built into the trem cavity?

Nice twanger, anyway. :D Looks different to all the regular stuff most people play. Having your own image is important.

oh yeah.

When they had my new axe in i came instore to compare both guitars. It was a tough choice, each guitar had its pro and cons. The new one was alot lighter in wieght and had a snappier tone and a smoother neck. And the old one had a nicer piece of birdseye fretboard and had a thicker tone.

In the end i replaced it for the 5 way switch version, couldnt be happier!

Nice. The guys at Carvin are really nice fellows. Glad to hear they made a new guitar for you. I mean...what other company does that for its customers? Amazing service.

When I get down to LA, we need to have a Carvin fest jam-aroo. 8)

@ericf - I don't usually get a lot of hum from my guitar either. Only when I move towards sources like a laptop or tv. Switching off the active control can help too.
