Post anyone ever scalloped before?
played a scalloped neck? done it? etc etc...discuss

im now doing one, gota smooth over the edges today

I scalloped two necks, and I'm very happy with it. it hurts your fingers a bit, but it's ok. you should also raise the action a bit. and btw. those are a little too deep. :wink:

Yeah, I bought a Richie Blackmore custom replica once. It was great fun, but I still prefer ... non-scalloped necks.

they are deceptively shallow. as iv sanded down the sides at an angle for a smooth edge

Thats tasty.

Im gonna show my ignorance now and assume you had to remove the fret markers/inlays then replace them after the scalloping was done. If so, how hard was that to do?

I scalloped the neck of my strat copy. Wayyy too deep but I did a good job, I think, considering it was my first time ever.
