Post Good Cables.
Hey guys, I really need two angled cables.. but I have using the crappy ones at guitar center that fail every other week. Are there any brands or stores online that sell some pretty good quality but cheap cables? Preferably angled.

Thanks

Eric...seriously take my advice on this one.

Your cables are the most over looked piece of equipment in your rig. ALL guitar players are guilty of this.

Save the money and invest in good quality cables.
The most expensive cable I own is also the best. SOLID CABLES...beautiful sound.

But more inexpensive: Planet Waves is pretty good, the baseline Monsters are okay.

But why not get a Bullet Cable? Not just the coiled one...the other cables are pretty good too from what I hear.

I find whirlwind cables great.
ive had some for more than 10 years and still going strong.
I also tried to go more "boutique" once and bought some low capacitance expensive piece of crap that produces sound from the amp every time it drags across the floor - it was george L's or something like that.

Well I do have a bullet coily cable and a Mogami straight cable.. If I had the money I would definitely go buy 2 more Mogamis, but angled. But I'm broke.. so I need to get something budget right now. :?

Has anyone tried dimarzio?

Eric, how would you describe your tone? I find different cables are great for different type tones.

Well I just got a freakin' amazing new amp.. soon to be unveiled.. but i've got a variety of sounds from it. The only way I could describe my clean tone would be 'nice' my rhythm tone i'm juicing up the second channel with a ocd and it sounds niceee, like a classic rock rhythm tone. Think ac/dc to even PG's newer stuff. And my 3rd channel is my crazy metal tone.. think Lamb of God. 8)

I already own 2 angled cables, one is a bullet cable, and the other is a cheapo cable. But on my new pedal board space is SUPER cramped and everything will fit perfectly, I just need two more (maybe 3) angled cables. I plug my bullet into my tuner, then I need another angled to leave my pedal chain and go into the amp, then I use my other cheapo one to go through my pedals in the effects loop and I need 1 more to leave and return to the effects loop.

So yeah..

I would recommend George L's. They are the shit! Both for lead, speaker and patch cables. It produces a pure tone that only Mogami can match. They're also pretty cheap, here atleast.

They work the same way as the solderless george L's. Instead of soldering the wires conductor to the plug the wire is held in place by a set screw (possibly grounding screw). As long as the conductor is in contact with the plug it should work fine.

I actually got the planet waves pedal kit in the mail just yesterday! I'm waiting on a couple pedals to completely build my pedal board. But wanted to get these cables.. I think I might go for planet waves.. but Fulltone sounds good too. Do george L's have lifetime warranty?

I didn't bother reading anyone's comment.

Because I have crazy news. Those dimarzio cables? monster cables? $25 for 3ft? That's a joke!

High quality Monster cables (not regular monster cables) were tested against "Monoprice" cables, for about An EIGHT of the price.

you can google the hell out of it.

Monster is a ripoff.
And as for monoprice? It's 3 fucking dollars + shipping for lifetime warranty + 2x monster quality.

It's not a joke, I'm not an employee or anything. I've read reviews and comparisons of the two. It's absurd. Please check em out. For your piggy bank's sake

This is the one Ima lookin at right now. Hoping to save the rxboard some money here. Google the comparisons though please, don't take my word for it.

I thought everyone already knew Monster was a total joke?

Anyway, why not build your own cables.
