:D

I wasn't kidding in that other thread when I said THIS GUITAR IS FUCKING BEAUTIFUL! I MUST GET ONE. NOW! :P

Well it came today and I gotta say.. it plays just as sexy as it looks! I love it. I was lucky enough to find it in such minty condition at such perfect timing. I'm so happy with it i've been playing non stop since it arrived. The necks a bit thicker than my PGM (naturally) but MAN is it smooth. The pickups are stock and pretty good at that but I'm gonna get em switched soon. Any suggestions?

I love it!

That looks killer!

Are the stock pickups ibanez or dimarzio?

Ibanez pickups

the neck is an Ibanez QM1 and bridge is a QM2

I want some heavy pickups. Maybe tone zones? Or seymour duncan pickups. I don't know.

Have a look into dimarzio'z D-activator if you're looking for a more metal sound.

Agree about the PAFs, I put crusty old Super Distortion and Dimarzio PAF style pickups, both from the 70s, in my Iceman and the PAF sounds absolutely amazing in there so it'd probably be kind of similar.

I love PAFs but I have PAFs in my PGM 100 and 300. I want to go for a different sound with this guitar. The dactivators seem like they can deliver both heavy metal sounds and great clean sounds. I'm going to look into more options but right now I'm leaning towards those. :)

That's why i recommended that one, since i knew you had 2 pgms

Are you going for the d-activator set or are you only going for the bridge and some other combo? If you have doubts you could look at the 'pickup picker' they have at the dimarzio website.
