arpegio substitution on a dom 7 chord
a m7b5 from the 3rd to a dom 7th arp repeated

the flavours 3,5,7,9 then 1,3,5,7 are played

a quick way to add 9th to a phrase

Uh, oh!

(I used the search button.)

Here's one of about 3 threads:

http://racerxband.com/board/viewtopic.p ... etcha+play

Cool riff idea you have there, anyway.

Not meaning to troll, but I've always hated those 'bet you can't play this' features. It just sums up everything which is bad about shred guitar.

Well, I doubt he wanted it in a competitive form (I sure as hell didn't), but the title makes it come across as that way.

I thought I (as well as others including lurkers) could learn a couple of cool licks. But I guess not. Everyone had to be sarcastic (or HA HA funny) beatches and ruin a perfectly good learning thread.

Sorry, I'm in a bad mood right now.

My introduction to this thread would immediately merit a title change to "Betcha Can Play This". I'll keep my mouth shut. :D

Guthrie Govan should play the ultra-impossible Wonderful Slippery Thing lick and we should all just die in intense happiness as we have been blessed by such awesomeness.

I did my own "Betcha Can't Play This" lick..... i have it on my MySpace page. :D

http://www.myspace.com/willjay1

I started out on the recording with a completely improvised guitar solo.... i had no idea what i was going to play for an intro solo, but by coincidence i happened to actually play my "Betcha Can't Play This" lick during my Intro solo.

I have a tab for it if anyone's interested.

That is the tackiest looking bastard of a guitar I have ever seen, apart from maaybe the "tribal design" Mark Tremonti PRSes I saw when I toured their factory.

There is one single reason why your video sucks. It is because you can do it much much better. You have such a great technical ability but rushing through the notes and phrases makes it like flushing campagne down the drain.

Most important thing when learning nad playing guitar is in my opinion the pulse or the groove. I am not talking about the metronome or the tempo, it is the pulse that makes your body move to the music. Tapping the foot while playing helps a lot.

Scarified would not have kicked ass if there were not the heartbeat that drives the song and the audience. Without it, it would sound like rotten smell.

Please don't get my harsh words wrong. Take my advice and redo your video and apply enable the pulse on every single thing you are playing and learning. It will rise up your abilitiy to the next dimension.
