From a brazilian guitar magazine (Cover Guitarra). Bought just for this transcription, and I don't even have a 7string guitar (or the technique to play it  ).

That Let the Computer Decide tab doesn't seem to be extremely accurate. The opening line sounds a bit different and I think PG actually plays it on the bottom 3 strings (the octave tuned strings, that's why they're there I think :)). I believe it's more like :

Code:
D ------------10-------12--
D --------10----12-10-----
D -10-12-------------------
      H            P

I was listening to Alligator Farm again today and was actually thinking of tabbing LTCD..but I'm too lazy :D

You guys amaze me...I wish I had your ears...

I can play a good chunk of stuff, but even after 20 years of flipping through my boxes of tab books, I just can't get it...I mean, I can hear cords, and melodies...I can figure out it's an "A" cord, but can't seem to attach the "flavor" of the chord to the sound...If it's just a 3 finger cord no problem, but when they add in 7ths and minors, it gets clouded...Add to that the odd tunings some people use, and I just get lost...I have a few years of music theory and know the basics, and my fingers are 20 years capable once they learn the patterns, but.......I know a good chunk of that just comes with experience, but you guys have picked some SERIOUSLY hard stuff to tab out...Hats off...

Is there anything besides slowing the song down with software I can learn to do to become better at figuring stuff out?...I hate relying on tab to play songs...I feel like I'm cheating...I guess that's the difference between a musician (you guys) and a guitarist (copy cat me)...Oh well, if I practice it enough times I can play the bitchin' intro to Loud and Clear...That's good enough for me right now...

On another listen, I think I still got that part wrong.. here's what I think is the correct first (excluding drum intro :)) 4 bars (or 8..since it's played twice) of Let The Computer Decide (in PowerTab):
Let The Computer Decide
I'll try to continue tabbing it.

Here are a couple of other PG stuff I've tried tabbing (all PowerTab):
section of PG's live solo (Live & Kickin' Japan gig)
The Jig
GVRO
legato run in Individually Twisted

For The Jig, I know the notes are correct, but the some of the fingerings are definitely wrong. After tabbing, I tried playing it and I ended up changing the fingerings myself (though I never changed the tab). Almost the same case with GVRO, but the tab is much closer to how I play it except probably I play a couple of sweep lines in the tab string-skipped.
For Individually Twisted, the last 2 bars are not entirely correct, but close enough :). I'll probably try to fix it sometime.

No, I can't play any of them perfectly/cleanly :). I'm definitely just a hobbyist and can't be called a musician ;).

Thanks!

Now I actually got as far as tabbing the first minute or so of Let The Computer Decide. (up until the 'computer guy' speaks :)). The link to my LTCD tab above should be updated with the new tab. I'm pretty sure all the fingerings are correct in this one.
And HOLY GODZILLA STRETCH BATMAN! :D
Looks like even Paul can't play that last part in normal standing position (had to sit the guitar almost upright on his left knee in clinics)

Ok I got the Let The Computer Decide tab pretty much done (I guess I'm not that lazy after all) except for the last 2-3 bars (you can improvise that anyways :P).. PG also plays that on the bottom 3 strings, I think 13-16-20 pattern. The link above has been updated with the latest tab. I can try tabbing how PG played it in the record, but probably not until this weekend.. work keeping me busy :).
Of course if anyone else wants to complete it before, you're welcome to.. corrections are also welcome :)

The Jig, DUDE i like those tabs a lot! LTCD seemed very accurate and as much of the Mr.Big solo you'd done sounded awsome (you should do the rest!)

keep it up bro,

Nick.

Does anybody know how to extract powertab files,by using winzip?Sometimes the download(song)is in a winzip file, and I don't know how to open it.
