Post My tribute to Bruce...Scit Scat Wah
Here's my try at Scit Scat Wah - this is probably my favorite instrumental. I always thought Bruce's solo on this song was particularly tasty so I chose to play his parts of the song (not to mention I didn't think a mere mortal like me had much chance of doing justice to Paul's solo :)

The drums, bass, and Paul's guitar part are from a MIDI file sequenced with decent samples (I got the original MIDI off the net somewhere). I left Paul's guitar part in cause it was fun to play in harmony with him, even if only virtually! I used a nylon string guitar sample for his parts, partly because I couldn't find a good electric guitar sample and partly because I think it sounds cool.

I really dig checking out all the clips people post on these boards...there are some killer players around here!

Rock on...

Thanks for the nice comments. As far as tab for this song goes, I used to have a really good guitar pro file for this song, but it disappeared in one of my many hard drive crashes over the years.

Check out this link I found for several articles from PG over the years:
http://www.geocities.com/lcshred/tdl.html

Here's one from 'Guitar Player' called 'I know you are but what am I?' where Paul tabs out his portion of the intro to Scit Scat Wah (it's scanned, but is a very clear and easy to read scan):

http://www.geocities.com/lcshred/lessons/tg101-knowur.jpg

When I can't find tab for a song, I use this Winamp plugin called 'Chronotron 3.0' (http://www.chronotron.com/). It lets you change both the tempo and/or the pitch of an MP3. I know there are other tools around that let you do this but this is the first one I've seen that lets you do it in real time, on the fly. It's pretty cool and has helped me learn lots of things that would've been hard to figure out.

Rock on...
