So... who are the newcomers?

There's that silver MXR pedal, that black one near the Fuzz Universe, and that little black one.

Anyone knows what they are?

The silver one is an mxr bass compressor, the big black one is a hbe mimic delay and the little one looks to be a keeley looper.

And that one on the right of the pic wich is not exactly an effect pedal but a kind of "drum" wich Paul stomps to make rythm on the acoustic section. Maybe some kind of piezo inside it? :)

Yeah, I was wondering how Paul managed to make his stomps audible on that acoustic section! hahaha

Thanks for the post! Wow look at the OD setting on the FU - I've never seen a picture of Paul's pedal with the drive knob cranked like that!

I'm not positive but from my view at the House of Blues show, and the videos posted so far, it looks like Paul might be using the Low Dynamic Range on the Vintage Modern, which for me at least, isn't even enough gain to handle AC/DC or Zeppelin tunes. Maybe that's the reason for the cranked OD pedals? Like i said though it's hard to tell from the videos. A white light on the amp would signal HDR while a blue one would signal LDR. Hard to distinguish..

He is using LDR, he leaves the distortion + on most of the times and uses the fuzz universe to boost for solos.

I don't know.

Paul normally uses the distortion pedals to boost an already dirty signal coming from the amp.

While he was on tour using his own songs, he used the Fuzz Universe pedal. For this Great Guitar Escape gig, I'm guessing it was just extra gain for solos..

I heard he only uses it at his moms house because she doesn't allow any other kind of distortion in her house.... :chew:

From Paul:

Quote:
Here is my latest pedalboard. I used these pedals a lot while recording the new Mr. Big album, and I plan on taking them to the G4 Experience as well.

To make the pedalboard "indestructible," I attached the pedals to the board with Velcro, used black gaffer tape to keep the knobs at my favorite settings, cut small strips of Velcro to hold the cables down, and did some important labeling.

My (well-meaning) guitar techs have blown up several of my power supplies over the years (by plugging into the wrong voltage), so I've learned to label my power supply with big numbers. I haven't blown one up since. 120 volts for G4!

I recently started using a Jimi Hendrix Cry Baby wah wah. I've wasted a few soundchecks in the past by thinking that my amps sounded a little strange, then readjusting all the EQ settings, then realizing that I had accidentally left the wah wah on. I labeled my wah wah to remind myself to check. Is it OFF?

Finally, on the left (in dark brown) is a TC Electronic MojoMojo. It has a small switch in between the knobs. I like the switch in the "up" position, but I often forget to check it. The upward pointing arrow will remind me.

Now, I'm ready to jam!

Thank you,

Paul
