Just imagine selling a guitar on Ebay and then finding out that the winning bidder was "P_Gilbert" or something. 8)

All the guys here that have Paul's guitar must feel so privileged.

He don't left them! He's only using Marshall...but Laney's tone is very similar to Marshall's!

Reminds me of something. A couple of years ago around the time Space Ship One was being recorded/released, I was selling my Ibanez LP copy on ebay, and it's a not-so-common Ibanez LP that I know Paul also had (maybe still has.. it's the one with cream body with cream pickups and maple fretboard)
I actually had an inquiry from Marco Minnemann about the auction showing interest. I'm thinking that Marco saw Paul's when he was recording SSO with him :P ..

he took out the laney stuff from his site, i'm guessing he's getting some sponsorship from marshall now. who knows what kind of deal he had with laney, but marshall is a little bigger, maybe they give him more. i highly doubt paul would get rid of any of his laney stuff though. nothings stopping him from recording w/ laney amps in the future

Marshall, Laney, Orange, and Vox are the original British amp makers. they all share certain characteristics, with slight differentiations between them.

So what you're saying is they're all the same but different...

essentially, thats how all companies are...the differences are very little.
I'd even venture to say that Laney was started by a former Marshall employee who wanted to make something better and used the Marshall base.

You can see that not even the delay is run through the effects loop... Everything goes straight into the input.

Does PG run his guitar into the Tuner then the delay pedal (right side of the board if looking down at it as the guitar player) or does he plug into the distortion pedal DS-1 (left side)?

If he does go into the Tuner then delay first - that is unusual to use delay infront of all the modulation and overdrive effects.

Also does PG run his Laney with the drive switch constantly on, as I didnt notice a footswitch on the board?

According to guitargeek he uses a footswitch but I have never seen him use him use one personally, if Paul wants a clean setting he just turns his volume down.

I believe the amp is set up so that with the volume on the guitar up to 10 he has nice rhythm tone but he can turn the volume down to about 3 and get a clean sound and then he'll use an external distortion (DS-1 or similar) if he needs more gain for solos or especially chunky rhythm sections.

I knew he used the vol knob loads to get clean to slight dirt to full on rhythm.

I used to use my GH50L with the drive switch on to get my real thick chunky rhythm sound and use the ge7 for lead, and then turn off the rive switch to get a semi lead. Howveer I was running the Gain on about 5 and the drive on 7.

I will have to inspect some videos of PG to see what is happening.

However I just discovered today after checking the forum out that PG is using Marshall Amp
