My band, Cockeyed Optimist (myspace.com/CockeyedOptimistRock), needs a bassist.

After much hassle with several past players not being reliable, we've decided to strike out as a threesome...minus a bass player.

BUT...we still want a bass player. It just isn't the same without that low end rumble.

Here's the deal: we need a bassist, or guitarist willing to play bass, in the Los Angeles area (preferably the valley, hollywood, downtown area). We are a hard rock band in the style of Breaking Benjamin, Smashing Pumpkins, and Paramore and we're influenced by all those bands and Nine Inch Nails, Black Light Burns, and more. Basically...syncopated rhythms and riffs and melodic, well crafted songs.

We will be rehearsing at least once a week. We will have a lockout during the next month.

We have about 7 songs ready and several more in the works. We are going to be finishing our debut CD over the remainder of the year.
