It means that if I have a quick look at the board in the evening, everything I didn't read will still be unread the next morning so I don't miss anything.
It used to be annoying with everything being marked as read without me reading it.
Now once I am done with the threads I want to read, I just click to mark everything else 'read'.

I agree. I like it better the way it is now.

Maybe I'll agree with you guys later.
I'm on a laptop right now, and I hate having to use the mouse... so... I wish I didn't have to scroll down and mark stuff "read" all the time.
When I get back on my PC, it won't matter.

Other problem: the new board is sluggish on this laptop. When I type stuff, I actually type faster than my computer can write... it takes ages for stuff I have typed to show up, and it's horrible to be unable to check for mistakes... plus: sometimes, I type so fast, entire segments do not show up at all. Maybe it's because this laptop is shitty... it's running on windows 7 and it's brand new, but it's quite tiny.

I don't have any of the problems you mentioned Acid. Everything works fine as far as I've seen.

I actually used to have the opposite problem.. I'd visit the board then go get a cup of water or something and when I came back all the topics would have been marked as read. It would piss me off.

I like this a lot better.

P.S. Mods kill the bot in the sideprojects forum!!

At first it annoyed me....but now I prefer it. I control when I'm done "reading".
