Post Acoustic Samurai review
Hi,

My copy arrived from Japan this morning.

The version of "Dancing Queen" is pretty funny and to hear "Scarified" played on acoustic is amazing.

It sounds like a really "pure" sound-by that i mean no fixes and it sounds like you are in the front row. Its a pretty bare sound, just 2 guitars.

The new sonds are really good and the 2nd to last song (put it onto mini-disc to listen so i have no track names with me) sounds like something RX could have done.

Only listened to it once so far on the train. Im sure i will add comments later when you guys start commenting too.

Mark

I got mine too.
Its funny how PG plays his acoustic guitar like electric guitar.
But lack of pure acoustic sound.....Its funny but would have been better if the songs were arrenged for acoustic play.. I like Dancing Queen the best.

Hi,

Another point about Acoustic Samurai: who were the audience? Was it open for anyone?

They've got pretty high voices on "Suicide lover" :)

It was open for fans who won the ticket that was presented by Smirnoff Ice. Sounds like couple of Paul Gilbert army were in the audience.

I just got this CD today. Perfect timing for the HoTG road trip!!! I can't believe how cool the acoustic version of Scarified is. So far the whole cd is amazing. Everything Paul touches is golden. He is indeed the Golden God.
