Post New supergroup w/ Scott
From Blabbermouth.

A brand new metal "supergroup" featuring Chris Impellitteri on lead guitar, Scott Travis (JUDAS PRIEST) on drums, Rudy Sarzo (DIO, QUIET RIOT, OZZY OSBOURNE) on bass, and Mike Vescera (LOUDNESS, OBSESSION, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) on vocals is currently being recorded in a Los Angeles Studio for Sony. Chris said that he is getting along splendidly with Scott and Rudy and looks forward to their future collaboration. "I think the three of us seem to have a great chemistry," he said. "The music we are playing is definitely metal, loaded with lots of shredding guitar solos, screaming vocals, thunderous bass, and amazing drumming; mixed with a lot of SPINAL TAP… ha ha! Looking forward to playing live dates with my new mates."

Looking forward to this!!

I'm also really looking for this! Going to be kick ass.

I can't help but feel as though this is going to created demand for an other super group though.

AWESOME!

I think this might answer what Scott will be up to after Priest's last tour...

Wish this band had less everything and more Racer X.
Anyway, I'll listen to it, though I'm not a great Impellitteri fan, even though he's put out a few nice tunes.
Not too much of a fan of Vescera either.

Still, it sounds like a very solid heavy metal band, with my favorite drummer and a guy that shreds faces off, so I'll definitely give it a listen.

edit: typing fast and unfocused made me type weird shit.

The other cool thing is that at least the 3 guys from the pic are very down to earth and friendly people (haven´t met Vescera yet), so the chemistry must be killer!

Hope they have a great time, since if they´re having fun it will definitely show on the record!

Bad English

Reportedly, at least 4/5 (Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, Ricky Phillips, and Deen Castronovo) of Bad English played with Sammy Hagar at one time or another.

Mmmm.....interesting, Gringo

Sammy Hagar is the man ~ anyone to still sing full voice with an unmistakeable one at that AND at age 63 is legendary ~

This is the only line-up of Bad English I've experienced ~ I'll check the others out though ~

I'm not sure if, technically speaking, Bad English ever had more that one line-up.

Reportedly, guitarist Andy Timmons, of Danger Danger fame, almost got the guitar position in Bad English.

According to what I've heard, Bad English recorded some kind of demo or something before their first album. Reportedly, it did have Neal Schon on it, but he told the rest of the band that he'd rather focus on his solo career, and that they should just get someone else to play on their ALBUM when they went in to record it.

Then, as I've heard, Andy Timmons auditioned and they pretty much told him they were letting him in the band.

THEN, they call him, and tell him that Neal Schon called THEM, and told THEM, that he'd changed his mind and wanted back in the band and wanted to be on the band's first album when they went in to record it.

So, basically to Andy Timmons it was "Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.". Or something kind of like that...

Gotcha

In order to gain my complete attention - you must mention John ~

I personally feel that ~ Super Groups ~ have just ONE SHOT and really should not try for longevity or the "sophomore" effort to make an impact ~ a reunion perhaps ~

It's fun to listen to.
Lots of shred and fun drumming going on.

However the songwriting is a bit generic.
Nothing truly original going on in these songs, sounds like typical power metal beats and riffs.

Anyway, I'll still listen to it every now and then. It also looks like it was meant to be fun, the way the band dresses and the music they play really makes it all look like the boys are just having fun, and aren't looking to make a super original metal band.
