According to a PR sent to Blabbermouth, published 7 min. ago...

"In other news, MR. BIG will play its first U.S. show in more than 14 years on April 2 at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood, California. More U.S. tour dates will be announced later this year."

U.S tour?! Sweet.

Hah. I knew I'd be wrong about the tour start. I was hoping that my wrong-ness would give you guys a laugh... a little mirth! It turns out that the first Euro showdate now is in MADRID. New dates were added to the website today.
I finally got all of the current stuff blogged thanks to dave5150 doing the JPEG/OCR/copy-paste move. *very grateful* Thank you! :)

There are 2 important deletions. M3 Fest in Columbia MD, and also Budokan. I hope those are site errors / editing issues, and not actual show deletions! We'll find out though.

MADRID.... Paul´s back. I´ll be there :)

@FER: Awesome! :)

OK according to UDO Artists, the promoters for the Japan tour, the Budokan show is still on...

http://www.udo.co.jp/Artist/MrBig/index.html

'Seated' tickets are 9000 yen/ea. & 'standing room only' are 8000 yen/ea.

So I guess it's just a typo/error on the Mr. Big website. No big deal. :)

Germany dates finally:

http://www.eventim.de/tickets.html?doc= ... Big_0611_A

Just 4 of them but I'll attend at least for 1 show. I wonder if there'll be a meet&greet...

There is actually a 5th Germany date on June 26th in Ferropolis at the Rock the Nation Festival.

I'll update my tourdates list...

It's not all bad in the wake of the quake. There are rolling scheduled blackouts in Tokyo but the power has been partially restored. A glimmer of hope has appeared: The Pat Torpey Unofficial webmaster is safe and posted a brief update on their website today.

Heartfelt prayers sent to all of the Japanese people who "are hurting".

@dave5150: Cool, thanks for posting the new dates here.

Today's update: Despite a gigantic and horrific disaster, no shows in Japan have been cancelled.

Here's UDO's announcement page:
http://www.udo.co.jp/News/index.html#110314
It's in Japanese and it doesn't translate perfectly, but you'll get the point.

I gather that it says something like... "we'll let you know the status with periodic announcements on this page" so it could happen. As of right now though - it has not. Hopefully the concerts UDO still has booked will bring some relief & relaxation to the Japanese audiences, as they rebuild.

+ What does that Western characters/Japanese message say on Mr. Big's website? It's part of their Flash top banner - the first screen.

Hey guys! Just got back from the LA show, the first show of the tour!!!!!!

It was unbelievable as usual, but Paul seemed to only play with a clean tone during the whole show! It was quite weird of him (even for colorado bulldog?!)

SO to all who want to know, here is a vaguely memorized (not necessarily in order) set list

[b]SPOILER ALERT[/b

Daddy brother
Take Cover
Green Tinted Sixties Mind
Undertow
Alive and Kickin
Merciless (yeah!!!)
Just Take My Heart
As Far As I Can See (Ohhh yeah!)
Stranger in my Life (triple Yeah!)
Road to Ruin
Little Too Loose
Price You Gotta Pay
Wild World
Still ain't Enough For Me
Addicted to That Rush

-Encore 1
To Be With You
Colorado Bulldog (or Bullfrog ^^)

-Encore 2
Baba O Reilly
30 Days in the hole
Shy Boy

I probably forgot a few, but overall i thought it was an excellent set list and an awesome show.

Also, I LOVED the fact that they chose to omitt solos in favour of more songs.

Highlights were defintely merciless, which came as a huge surprise and was beautifully executed, and of course stranger in my life, which was just tremendously powerful.

Can't wait to see videos surface!

Oh God I totally forgot the tour started already!

I want some YT videos now!

First up, of course! (no, not To Be With You, but for some reason I thought it is)

Wild World
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hNCOowGpMs

Undertow
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vt2GCE659HA

Alive & Kickin
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taf0aODGHD4

Paul's guitar does seem to be lacking in gain, as if he used only 1 distortion this time :P

And full setlist:
Quote:
01. Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy
02. Take Cover
03. Green Tinted Sixties Mind
04. Undertow
05. Alive And Kickin'
06. Merciless
07. Just Take My Heart
08. As Far As I Can See
09. Stranger In My Life
10. Road To Ruin
11. A Little Too Loose
12. Price You Gotta Pay
13. Wild World
14. Still Ain't Enough For Me
15. Addicted To That Rush
- Encore 1
16. To Be With You
17. Colorado Bulldog
- Encore 2
18. Baba O'riley
19. 30 Days in the hole
20. Shy Boy

And of course, we need to mention that before Undertow, Pat's snare went out, and to fill in the gap of time, Paul, Eric and Billy jammed a little on Sinatra's "Fly Me To The Moon." :D
