Hmm...definitely does not look like Young Guitar…

A few days ago I seen Yngwie’s Full Shred VCD very similar to this, I am sure it was a fake, because YG made that on VHS and DVD.

BTW what is up with your sliding guy? :?

Off the top of my head... my memory might serve me right or wrong here: It's a CD which was recorded at one of Paul's in-stores which he did in Japan, right after the release of SFBADR. The pic on the front of the CD seems to bear that out. Paul would record the performance, then take the recording back to his hotel room, pick his 3 favorite songs, and mix on the spot. These CD's were given to the fans who attended the show, as a free gift. They were called Triumphant Return.

There's no editing of posts here, so that might be incorrect... I might have the concept right but the # of songs wrong or something. I know that's the title and these were recorded at in-stores in 2008.
The Japanese title of SFBADR was Hoku, btw, as it's easier to pronounce and spell in Japanese.

I read all of this in interviews somewhere. Check the Book Of Quotes for the backup on this one...

I'm sure Three D's and xjustice09x will be along later to help you out more if I was incorrect. They know their Japanese PG stuff like second nature... it's amazing how thorough and helpful they are.

It is a legit release. Very rare. Go for it!

BTW I clicked on this thread because I thought someone had discovered MORE PG news today. As if the new clinic date, the new Mr. Big album, and the new Mr. Big world tour were not enough, LOL! It was a "click of sheer disbelief" : "what now?!"

Stuff like this makes me wish I was an eBay member, and glad I'm not... to save money! :)

A silly anectdote: I *almost* called the 2008 Euro tour book Triumphant Return (in reference to the 2008 tour being the second, or a return to Europe - 2007 being the first) but I didn't because I remembered about this release. It's cool to see one, finally. Thank you for sharing the link.

Jenn is, as one might expect, right. Scroll down for the other Triumphant Returns...

Thank you, silentbob777, for sharing that link. Perfect. It's awesome - so comprehensive with the Japanese rarities!

It is a rare CD, and a very cool find - definitely worth bidding on. The seller has nearly 99% feedback/over 4000, so is not likely a scammer. :)

+ If I recall, it's Paul playing to the backing tracks. It might have a bit more of a clinical/polite audience sound, then a bass-heavy/screaming crazy nightclub audience sound. No idea, never heard these, would love to though!

I wondered if the CD's were sequentially numbered to match people's ticket stubs... so I'll put this just-realized anectdote here for reference for all of us. The numbers on the fronts of the Triumphant Return CD's are apparently the date in Japanese format. So for Fukuoka, 080109 is 08/01/09. Jan. 9. So these were made just prior to NAMM 2008.

Cool, is it live or really an example cd of the studio recordings..

I'm actually looking for this song:

Paul Gilbert/Special Unreleased Tracks! WHDエンタテインメント NOT FOR SALE
3.Jumping Jack Flash(Hong Kong 2005)

We play that with our band, but like his live performances I have on DVD with this song, curious to hear it.
