Well... things are looking like Paul plans to be touring this year again... I suspect that means no Racer X this year again :? :(

Ask Jeff, Bruce, or anyone.. I think Paul is the only one who would consider that bizarre.

Is that how much it costs?!?!? I have to pass.

P.S. I notice on their website they accept credit cards. How nice of them.

well, I'm paying 650€ or 880$ to have a guitar workshop with Mattias IA Eklundh for 5.5 days, but including all food and accommodation and there won't be more than 30 students.

However, the "National Guitar Workshop" has really fancy facilitys and rooms etc. that cost lots of money. So I think the 1000$ are reasonable.

oh, now that I think about it, the Soundbase camp that I'm also attending in summer, which is taking place at a music uni just like the National Guitar Workshop, costs only 320$. But this is because it's financially supported by the government. Milan Polak will be teaching there by the way.

Tuition $995 per week
Room and Board $495 per week (Overnight students ONLY)
Book/Materials Fee $25 per week (mandatory fee)
Private Room $250 per week (optional/subject to availability)

I mean.. 1000 for a week of classes is like all the other summer programs they offer places (M.I.. Berklee.. etc.) but with these things you can't get funding or anything except out of your own, or your parent's pocket. Neither of those can happen on my end.. so just to see Paul it's not even worth considering. I just wish they had a price for just one day.. but oh well. We just had a free clinic a couple months ago so it's all good!

If I was rich I would be down to go though. :)

PGA.. now THAT sounds like a freakin' good deal!!

He wrote he is planning his recording schedule, so there's a new album this year I think.

All instrumental ?

I hope he's planning Racer X albums (plural, fuckers!).
With shred guitar harmonies.
And 200 bpm tempos and Painkiller style drum rythms.
And Jeff screaming all over the record.
And peppered with bass solos that suddenly step up like in Scarified.
And joyful sounding songs like Hammer Away.
And fuckin' Bruce.
FUCK!

Paul Gilbert Solo (Hopes for instrumental)
or Racer X album

possibly to much to pray for.
Mr Big isn't the same thing as those other two.
