It's been getting good reviews, from what I've seen. It's definitely something for the collection.

I've been listening to the CD the last few days on my commute to work.
Brings back lots of good memories of the London gig!!

Think my girlfriend has got me the DVD for christmas so I'll have to wait for that! /o\

Cool news from this morning: It hit #10 on the Italian Music DVD Chart. Frontiers Records, who is handling the release outside of Japan, said so.

I've heard that Pat Torpey sang backing vocals uncredited on David Lee Roth's Skyscraper album, which Billy Sheehan played bass on. (Billy Sheehan WAS credited for playing bass on Skyscraper.) Reportedly, this is how Billy Sheehan and Pat Torpey met each other, thus leading to Mr. Big being formed.

Didn't he play on one of the tours as well?
I can't remember what they say on the Mr. Big VHS that I've got!

That was how they met and then Billy and Paul saw Pat playing with The Knack and loved his energy (and the fact that he is amazing!) so asked him to join Mr. Big?

My understanding is that Pat and Billy recorded backing vocals to be used on the Skyscraper tour.

Has anyone noticed something very unusual about Billy's performance on the Budokan DVD? I may be wrong, but I don't think he plays a single pinch harmonic during the gig! I suspect fingernail problems.

I didn't really want to start a new thread about this, so I decided to just ask it in here...

On the DVD, Pauls PGM300 / 301 (I dont know what to call it since its a modified 300) has something on it next to the bridge, does anybody know what it is and what it does?

Here's a screencap...

Its a midi device. Makes the guitar's strings sound like different instruments. Like piano for Going Where the Wind Blows...

(I THINK)

Thanks for the info!

Ah that explains the chorus type effect on Just Take My Heart and Promise Her The Moon on the DVD.
