Post Judas Priest "British Steel" 30th Anniversary Tour
I saw Priest/Whitesnake at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Hollywood on Sunday, Aug. 2. What an incredible show! Rob's voice was in great shape and of course Scott's drumming was incredible as always.

Here is the set list:

Rapid Fire
Metal Gods
Breaking the Law
Grinder
United
You Don't Have to be Old to be Wise
Living After Midnight
The Rage
Steeler
The Ripper
Prophecy
Hell Patrol
Victim of Changes
---
Freewheel Burning
Diamonds and Rust
You've Got Another Thing Coming

Anyone who has the opportunity to see this tour should definitely go!

Whitesnake were still in top form, also. Reb Beach and Doug Aldrich did a lot of shreddin.' Coverdale (in his late 50s) still has a powerful voice.

Thanks to youtube, you can find clips of this show and many other shows on this tour.

Cinnamon Miller of Examiner.com reports that WHITESNAKE frontman David Coverdale ended the band's concert last night (Tuesday, August 11) at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado after only four songs, claiming that he felt he wasn't quite over his laryngitis he had been suffering from and that could sing no longer.

With a heart-wrenching apology, Coverdale left the stage. "I'm sorry, I tried, I just can't do it," he stated .

At the end of the performance last night, "inside sources" allegedly told Examiner.com that Coverdale had canceled the rest of the tour with JUDAS PRIEST and supporting band POP EVIL due to his illness. However, this information has not yet been corroborated by an official WHITESNAKE representative and should be treated as a rumor only.

On August 7, WHITESNAKE had canceled the performance in Phoenix, Arizona at the Dodge Theatre due to Coverdale's battle with laryngtis.

Quality fan-filmed video footage of WHITESNAKE performing the song "Love Ain't No Stranger" at the California Mid-State Fair on July 29, 2009 in Paso Robles, California can be viewed below (courtesy of "lisapolisa").

That explains a lot. I thought David sounded awful at Sacramento....cause I had seen him last year in Belgium, and he was FANTASTIC. So I'm glad to see it's most likely a temporary condition.

Same here, I saw the band in May, and Dave sounded fuckin' fantastic. :) Whitesnake is one echo-droned bunch though, they even had delay on the drums in some parts! It did sound fuckin' massive though! :)
