I was at that show, and i didn't pick up on what was going on, I just thought Billy and Paul were trading off solos! RUSH Presto tour, Omni in Hot lanta. I remember hearing Blame It On My Youth played at the soundcheck. Everyone on the MARTA train was talkin bout how the opening band smoked' RUSH. Paul hadn't started doing the solo with Alex Lifeson, so that was a bummer I didn't get to see it.

Over on the Rush forum, people are forever slating Mr Big :P
There are vids floating about on youtube of Mr Big and Rush playing In The Mood, and Alex pulls out the drill, pretty awesome.

I love the Satriani road rash story.. about him playing the U.S national anthem at an NFL or baseball game... or something like that.

I was going through the 1995 NY clinic because I knew I'd forgotten to clip and upload one part, but I couldn't remember which part it was (and didn't have time until today to sit down and figure it out) ... lo and behold, it's The Drill Story. :)

edit: Here it is.

So, don't forget to watch Bill & Crakula's version too!

:)

On John Petrucci i was expecting something like "this one time i just suddenly found myself like.... at least one meter away from my pedalboard. What if i suddenly had to step on something. I would like... never reach from there"
