I guess I don't have the right software. Does anyone have anything to rip from a DVD? Or any ideas?

Thanks,

Eric

Use Nero. Or some program that can rip from DVD to AVI.

You could play the dvd in a normal dvd player and get a video converter which takes the outputs (usually video, audio left and right using rca cables) then turns around and shoots the data back to your computer using a firewire cable and card. ( a cheap example of this is the canopus ADVC-100. )Then you would take video editing softwre such as sony vegas then digitally 'capture' it.

More then willing if the dvd is sent to me, to transfer to any format you guys want (mpeg, QT, AVI, WMV, etc.. etc..)

Does anyone know which of Paul's pets he still has?
I know he had a couple of dogs at one point!
Where do they go when he is on tour?

Why not? Oscar has lovely spots / beautiful color, and Ocicats are some of the coolest looking "all domestic" (i.e. no hybrid blood) kitties that there are!! Plus he brings Paul and Emi joy, like all cats are prone to do to their slaves, er, owners. Other then the occasional hairball I bet they have to clean up from an area rug (LOL, gotta love cats!) How can Oscar NOT be nominated for a cool pet award?

I could be wrong, but: He still has Oscar, I believe, because Oscar was seen wandering around in Part 1 of the video lessons from Guitar World, and the interviewer said that was in his (present) home.

If I had the link to the video where you can see Oscar... (and Paul) I would post it... It's on the 10-part video lessons thing on my blog, and it's part 1 about the Tony Iommi trill, that's all I remember.

Hopefully he does still have Oscar because I nominated Oscar for a coolest pet award!

To fellow Americans, happy day before Thanksgiving...

Nope, that one was filmed at the Guitar World office.

The one I am thinking of was filmed in Paul's house. It's a 10-part video lesson series.

The only way I know of to show you which one it is, because I don't have the original URL's handy, is to go here:

http://metalichicka.wordpress.com/2008/ ... tar-licks/

and click on part 1, watching the right hand side of the screen near the door. You'll see Oscar quite clearly: he's nosing around in the corner and then he leaves the room.

Edit: A LOT of people looked for Oscar today. Oscar was twice as popular as Freddie Nelson which is, well, very amazing. A dedicated group of Freddie's peeps hit my site *every day* without fail... I really appreciate them. They are truly great people. It also sets the popularity bar very high. So when someone like Oscar comes along and jumps right over them in popularity by a twofold factor, I wonder to myself... maybe Oscar needs that Coolest Pet Award, AND his own page on my blog, after all! :)
