That's coz you get autographed stuff of this artist, then get money off of it. Not really a good thing. It also makes guitars and stuff more expensive and blabla..

But I dunno, to me, if you didn't get the autograph YOURSELF it's kinda like cheating :P I mean, if you were there, and that's YOUR guitar/pic whatever, and you were the one who gave it to that artist.. you guys get the ponit :P Just sharing..

I think getting a guitar autographed is sometimes different. IF you planned to keep the guitar for a while then it is ok. If you get it autographed just to sell it than its not too cool. Sometimes unexpected expenses come up and you have to sell some gear.

The main problem with this guy is he goes to NAMM gets a bunch of promos for free, some of them signed and sells them all off to make money. Its not illegal or anything but some people don't like to see that happening.

I know Scott wouldn't like it.

My friend had a huge Angel of Retribution poster when we went to the Poughkeepsie show.
Scott asked him where he got it. He said ebay.
When Scott was signing it he said "it's not going back on ebay , is it"

I think it's pretty lame that someone got an autograph at namm knowing they were going to put it up on ebay. Weeeeeak.

Here's the problem, as I see it. If a famous person is charging money for his autograph, then that's fair game for resale. But if the artist is donating their valuable time to sign autographs for the fans for free, then it is totally uncool for someone to pretend to be a fan to get something signed only to turn around and sell it for a profit (none of which is shared with the artist).

I agree...but it's the nature of the game. I'd imagine Scott's not going to get fired up for an item like this.

While selling pics may be "uncool" (not saying it´s bad though), I think that selling CDs autographed is good for fans who want an "added value" for their product.

I think selling cd's or guitars is different. The person most likely bought the cd or guitar they got autographed. Much of the stuff the seller is selling was gotten for free.

You can't prevent it. If someone wants an autograph bad enough they may pay for it. I would reather get it my self for free. But I'm not going to stop people from spending their money however they see fit.
