I'd get Extreme Volume I next. Then Superheroes. Then Technical Difficulties, and then Snowball of Doom.

Superheroes is a bit overrated. Get Extreme Volume 1.

Getting Heavier is good. But it's just not.. RACER X. I mean it lacks the face melting heavy metal speed licks.. (except for Lucifer's Hammer tho  ) But yeah, if you're an old fan of Racer X, go get it. But if you're just new to Racer X, no. Stay away from it.. Till further notice  You might not appreciate it because all you're expecting are songs similar to Superheroes or MotorMan.

I quite like Getting Heavier, I think that it's got some great songs on it. My favourites are Endless, Ghost Dance, Everything's Everything, Empty Man and Catapult to Extinction.

Get all their albums!!

My all-time favorite is Technical Difficulties. It's not full-blown "face melting metal", but I like it. I think Technical Difficulties has a lot of hooks that will stay with you, which is why I picked it over any other Racer X album.

I recommend Technical Difficulties. It's my favorite Racer X album. It sounds fantastic. God of the Sun is a phenomenal tune.
