Post Racer X Ticket Stubs
I was going through some of my old ticket stubs and found a few Racer stubs I thought you guys might like to see. There's one from the Country Club from Halloween night 1987. Unfortunately Racer X's name is only partially readable because the ticket was ripped (you can only see "er X"), but the opening bands are visible, including one that went on to be pretty famous. The other one from the Country Club is from Jan 1988 and is the first night of the Extreme Volume shows. I think the reason I don't have my stub from the second night was that they let you in for free on Sunday night if you brought your stub from Saturday night. The third one is from a post-Paul/Jeff Racer X gig in San Francisco. The last one should require no explanation. Anybody else save any Racer X stubs?

I don't think so. They did re-open at one point and I saw a show there maybe five years ago, but I'm pretty sure they're closed down now.

No stubs, Doc. But as long as you were talking about the 'EV' shows:

I live about two miles from the Country Club. Today it is a Hispanic baptist church. The guy who created Jackson guitars worked right across the street from the club.

The Country Club was used in the movie "Boogie Nights." Dirk Digler washed dishes in the back!

Later!

I was born in Thousand Oaks, CA in 1986, and we lived in Agoura for a year. I wonder if I ever experienced any Racer X shows as a child, but lost it from memory. That'd suck.
