 Why so many live albums?
Not that i'm complaining, but outside of deep purple i;ve never seen a band put out so many live albums in such a short period, there are 5 studio albums and 4 live albums. Any particuler reason, does racer x like doing live albums, i know live extreme 2 was more of a farewell album but they put out Tech Diff and superheroes and then Snowball and then they put out Getting Heavier and add a live album, whats up with that? I noticed the same thing with Mr Big, it seems like they have endless live albums, and to correct myself, i havent seen a band put out so many live albums since MR BIG!! Is this paul's idea, or is it just something that the band likes to do and its a cheaper way to put out a good album, and i do mean that as a compliment.

Seems to me that when the band is together and creating that they have no problems getting new material out there for us fans (in other words they aren't covering up a lack of new material with cheesy remakes or live records like some bands are known to do). Honestly with Racer X not having the funds to do a world tour a butt-load of live records is an acceptable trade off in my opinion. This way people who really won't have a shot at catching one of the very limited live shows can still hear the music performed on stage (even if the band has does have to punch in a fix or two).

Because they rarely play live. so when they do...it's a BIG DEAL.
Come on..they've played 7 live shows since 1987 and only once in the USA.

Paul did so many live CDs! I love all of them. I think there are not many bands that are confident enough for their techniques to put out so many live cds.

I remember reading an article with Billy Sheehan and Paul back in the Mr Big days (like they were so long ago...LOL), and they said that the Asian fans like live albums or something like that. If you notice, all the Mr Big live albums (The Raw Like Sushi ones) are all imports in the USA, as are the RX ones. So my guess here, after rambling on for 150 words, is that the Asian folks like the live albums, they buy them, RX makes a little extra cash, and everyone is happy...

For being a 2-track recording right off the board, I'm really surprised at the overall sound of it... Sound quality is just about as good as EV1 or EV2...X
