Post Re: Superheroes
well this particular thread is so funny because his post doesn't ask anything, it's a fucking internal monologue that he decided to share - our only option was to say nothing, or take the piss :P

Oh man, this thread hurts, but it's funny! I can kind of relate to Gringo's endearing (if not maddening) musical nerdiness, but Missmisstreater is right. It was random, and no questions were asked, therefore....

No fucks were given, indeed. :|

No argument here. Xelatunes is right! Lars & Racer-X did a great job on that one!

I swear, if I ever met Alex in real life, I wouldn't know whether to punch him or hug him. He's cracked me up for years! He's just a freakin' party waiting to happen!

I would be glad to ask questions about the Racer X album Superheroes, if I could think of any.

Maybe, is anyone else on here just now hearing this album about 12 years or so after it was released?

For some reason, I suspect I'm the very LAST person on the whole board to have heard this album.

(Ok, Xelatunes, are you happy now?)

You've been here 5 years and you've only got around to listen to it now?

I'm afraid so.

Well, there's the saying "better late than never".

Well, I may have listened to samples of some of the songs on Superheroes (on this site) before now, but I just recently heard the whole album all the way through.

Well that is a shame... however I’m pretty sure that there is a three year old post out there by a long gone member that you could go respond to. So there is always that…

Well you know, being that this is Racer X forum and whatnot…

Perhaps you would get a better response if you gave that question a shot at this forum…

Post Re: Superheroes
It's one of my favorite Racer X albums, but I can't believe you hadn't heard it until recently. I don't fault you for listening to the music on YouTube, though, as I downloaded half the album on Napster before purchasing it. Yes, Napster was instrumental in my discovery of Superheroes; without file-sharing software, I wouldn't have had the slightest inclination to buy a Racer X album. I used Napster to sample the albums and ended up buying them all.

I purchased my first album, Technical Difficulties, from Amazon. Then, I found Street Lethal at a local Best Buy, believe it or not. Superheroes, if I remember correctly, was hard to track down as it was released in Japan before it hit U.S. shores. As soon as the listing became available, I ordered it from Amazon and anxiously awaited its arrival. I remember seeing the address of the official website on the back of the insert. The URL brought me here--though it looked different in 2001--and I haven't left since. :D
