Post Sunlit Nights
Best heavy metal ballad or what? I'm on the bus, I've been in it for 7 hours, and well, I've played most of Racer X's songs. Listening to Sunlit Nights, I have a feeling this songs means a lot to Jeff.

The riffs and harmonies are very intense, both emotionally and technically, the solo is among my favorite Racer X solos, the lyrics very nice... It has so much more value than other heavy metal ballads I consider very lame, like watching a bad soap opera. In this category Still Loving You by Scorpions or When The Children Cry by White Lion come to mind. Sunlit Nights actually really touches my emotional side.

Anyone else love that song? Or wanna comment on other heavy metal ballads?

Sunlit Nights = Best Heavy Metal Ballad Ever!!
Definitely, the solo differs from a traditional Racer X song when Paul just goes crazy eg Street Lethal.
The solo IS very emotional and the harmony adds to that.

It's an awesome song, never thought of it as a ballad, really.

Thanks MDucran

I think Ken once said that Sunlit Night maybe was RX's attempt to write a power ballad... But really, after the slow intro, the song's nothing like a ballad.

I love it. One of my fav. RX tunes.
