Street Lethal sounds a thousand times better on vinyl. The CD isn't even close. That's often true but I don't think it has ever been more the case than on this particular album.

I originally owned Street Lethal on vinyl…that was until hurricane Andrew came along and blew down my dad’s house (which was where I had all my vinyl stored). :(

I re-purchased it on cd a few years back and of course the cd does kick-ass, but I did feel that it was missing that certain “something”. I dismissed it as me just being nostalgic and missing the good ol’ days. But since you brought it up too, maybe you are on to something.

Which may or may not be true, but doesn't take away from the fact that pretty much everything Shrapnel recorded at Prairie Sun in those days sounds like shit....

(In recording terms, not musically, of course.... :))

Shrapnel sound quality sucks.

But in that "suckability", vinyl sounds way better than CDs.

Too bad the albums never got remastered and with decent packaging, not the 2 page booklet repeating the same "thanks" notes and pictures in "every" damn page (even though there are only two pages!!)...they have some serious classic shit in their catalog.

Jeez SCORE there......

I don't think you could get the same deal now, PG's notoriety has certainly increased of late (which is a good thing!).

Vinyl always triumphs the compression of CD's.
