That was a great post, Jeff! I think it sums up all our feelings about Racer X. And while we're on the subject, i'm gonna start saving some cash just in case.

Its Funny I have been approched by other band to be there lead singer but after working together for a bit it just never felt right and allway's fell flat.Its my curse to carry ,I'v been with the best and the most perfect thing for me and nothing else will do.Kind of brings to mind the song I wrote "Waiting".The last thing I said at the Namm show on stage rings true to me. {Its The Only band Where I still can Dream}

Woah.

Dude... I really hope RX gets together again, but this time, conquers the fucking universe, I mean, brings the 80's back and ends with all the shit going on in the world.

paul you heard the man!

you rock my world out of its place
You took my soul out of its space
There's no denying, sad but true
I just can't get over you
I sit alone right by the phone
Waiting
For YOU TO TAKE THE TIME TO REUNITE
Waiting

So hard to find, you're so unkind
I feel you near time after time
At the sunrise I'm still awake
I see my hopes a sad and fake
I bid this rhyme just killin' time
And waiting
In the dark
Waiting

From nine to nine your on my mind
Can't seem to shake this time
You and your desappearing game
What I'm left is quite insane
In the park or in the dark
Anytime your on my mind as I'm
Waiting

that song just took on a new meaning for me, ill never hear it the same again

thanks jeff, without you as the singer i know racer x would have died a LONG time ago

Yeah!

Jeff Martin is one of my favorite singers of all time. He deserves to be in the best band in the world aswell!

Sorry that Howard thinks I was going out of my way to step of his dick because of the LACK of notice on the NAMM show. He's the one that's always advertised that this site (Racerxband.com) had a zippy email notifier and we all would be contacted if a possible appearance were forthcoming.
Still waiting by my in-box.
That issue aside, all the self-serving responses on his behalf have missed the point of my post.
If I want to be a RacerX fan is it my responsibility to keep up with what they're doing?
Sure...up to a point.
I was going to their concerts in the 80s and I spent the bucks to fly to LA for thir reunion so I suppose I qualify as one with more than a passing interest.
It would be nice, however, if the band members RETURNED THE FAVOR, viz., demonstrate that the band is on something other than life-support and that the fan base is here for something other than buying T-shirts and old CDs.

dude let it go... yea you really have to keep track of your favorites band. You cant wait to get all your information delivered to you, especially with non-mainstream bands like Racer X!

and it has been on blabbermouth aswell! AND on Paul´s site, AND on Racer X´s site... AND on this forum (a part of the site).

I understand if you are pissed at yourself for missing this. But don´t take it over Ken!

Hell yeah, I hope you keep on dreaming, 'cus I know I will, and I know that I speak for the rest of us when I say that! You rock Jeff, I'm so fucking happy to see you in your current shape, your voice has aged like irish Whisky, and become better with the years, and I'm not just saying that for games, it really has.

I know I'm quite late on this. (It took me a while to figure out that to log in I had to use the umlauts... damn me for trying to be metal!!!)

But... I was at this show. And it was IN-F*CKING-CREDIBLE!!! It is easily one of the best nights of my life. Pardon me if it was resolved earlier, but Pat Torpey, Eric Martin and Billy Sheehan were there. I have proof. I have a picture of myself with them. So, not only did I get to see Racer X play, I also got a picture of myself with 3/4 of one of my all-time favorite bands.

Now, I have to say, I had been on my feet at NAMM all day. My back was killing me, my feet were killing me, I was hungry, and despite all that, there was no way in hell I was missing this show.

If it is at all possible to do any sort of Racer X tour, PLEASE to the 15th power, come to CHICAGO!! I will be there!!!
