Man I'm gonna get slammed, but what song is that from?

I'm afraid i have to agree with keith. I mean, the newer songs actually have good lyrics but the older ones are indeed cheesy. Still, i love Racer X for their musicianship not so much for their lyrics. Still, between Racer X and Mr. Big i choose Racer X. Mr. Big's lyrics dealt, most of time, with the same subject.

And i now i forgot what i was going to say >_>.

exactly. I've got The Doors & The Beatles if I want good lyrics and melodies and all that. For outstanding musicianship, I go to Racer X. Not to say The Doors and The Beatles don't have outstanding musicianship themselves, it's just a different style and everything. You guys know what I mean, right?

When it comes to good lyrics i often choose Van der Graaf Generator, Opeth or Porcupine Tree. To sum it up, more progressive rock bands.

Wow. Porcupine Tree. Now that's obscure. A friend of mine showed me a cd of theirs a few months back, & they were good. Different, but good.

Sorry, I'll stop straying off topic.

I tried to resist being off-topic but, oh well, i gotta answer it. Porcupine Tree is prolly the best known of the 3 that i mentioned. They even played on the Monsters of Rock festival along with so many other known bands. Van der Graaf Generator, now this is obscure :P.

You have sinned young one.. How could you NOT know getaway? It's the song that summarizes everything there is to know about girls.

I am so bitter lol.

Racer X songs aren't "cheesy"... they're narratives. :D And thats why they're my favorite band.

I love the whole package - there can only be one RACER X!!!

I chose 'Lyrics?' only because I never really got into the meaning of lyrics with any song. Sure, I listen to the quality of the singer's voice, & how well he phrases with the rest of the song, but lyric content has never been a strong suit of mine. 1/2 the time I can't understand what they're saying anyway. :D

I totally agree!

Same do I! Well, sometimes I get into the lyrics, though that's VERY rarely!
