Post Paul's Head nod
I was wondering if anyone ever noticed this, but it's kind of like how some guitar players naturally just move their mouths while playing.

During scarified, Paul will do something like a double "head nod" kind of motion... :P

I wonder if Paul knows he does this?

Nah I've never noticed that one.... Although Skippy did tell me that he notices that whenever Paul plays anything in minor pentatonic that Jeff and DarrOn squeeze their ass cheeks together REAL TIGHT!!!

Yeah I have noticed that. It's funny actually  He only did that recently.. He wasn't doing that in the Mr. Big DVDs and the RX DVD. Like he has that eyes wide open, mouth slightly open, nodding to the crowd movement while he's doing something repetitive, is that what you're saying?

You mean like in Scarified in the Space Ship Live DVD?

If you're talking about what I'm thinking of, then he's been doing that since the 90's.

During the main riff?

I was thinking of the slow nod where his head/neck goes in a ~ type motion like on the live solo video where he's wearing the red "EVERYONE" trouser things.

The only nod worh mentioning on pauls style is that solo when he is really into the music and consentrating :) I like to do it to, becuse it helps me separate the different patterns in a scale =) and alot of other things.

But i open the mouth like that like in the scarified videon when i want to play guitar looking ugly! :D

Yeah, i was talking about during the main riff before he gets into the arpeggios. He does it during the little fast picking parts during the riff.

I notice it. It's just the way the guy grooves. Some guitarists will cock their head back into the air and make funny faces when they hit a certain note.

I do the head nod sometimes. I also make grunting noises, although I'm the only one that can hear them. If I were playing with headphones, It'd probably sound like I was getting laid.

 wtf was that all aboute ? haha like if you do a stringskipp you go "whosh" and when you do a sweep you go "aaaah!" You cant be afraid of your guitar :D like a rollercoaster... "OMG OMG OMG here comes it aaaaaaaaah *giggles* lets do it again!"

sorry btw i am just messing with you :) Well i use the nods becuse you learn something best when you combine em, like 1st we got the fingers doing it, 2 we got the head doing another thing so the next time i do it i use the head to remember :) its kinda cool =D
