Finally got it! Cool to see, though it is weird to see Bruce out there alone.

What really surprised me is that Electric Fence opened for them? So...Paul, Jeff, and Russ opened for Racer X? The band they just left? :?

Hey ML,

The video that this was aparentlly 'ripped off' from, first has a gig of Electric Fence at M.I., and then it's got the dub of the Troubadour show after it. I've got a copy that Bruce and I dubbed directly from the original. If my memory serves, the BulletBoys opened for them that night.

For those of you who gave up on the download, keep trying. It's worth it. This was when Bruce just ripped. It was also the time I was taking private lessons from him, and we were becoming good friends. Bruce's solo on Motorman just kills. I like the part just before the encore, and Bruce just walks out on stage and starts to shred. I've got it on audiotape too. It's cool reliving that night over. I hadn't watched this show in years.

If you look close back on Bruce's side, you can see my flash from when I was shooting photos of Bruce and the band that night. This was before I bought a video camera for shooting Bruce's later shows with the Scream.

Here are a few photos from that night, that I had scanned in awhile back from my original slides.

Never in a million years would I've imagined he'd hand over to me his main guitar, the orange custom Epiphone, which I still have.

Enjoy!

John

Just noticed this thread. I hadn't wandered out of the Guitarist forum yet.

Yep, that's correct. I just happened to have found a tape that had the Fence gig first - it's not the same show. I've got the whole show that you speak of somewhere (with the B Boys playing). I was also taking lessons with Bruce at the time and was at the show. That was a LONG time ago, brings back some memories. Every time I'm in L.A. for business, it seems so much different.

I'll have to find the shows where Bruce was doing the Randy Rhoads tribute with the Cacophany singer. He was ripping it up during those shows, it was refreshing to see him get away from the Racer X stuff a bit.

As for the downloads, all of these free hosting sites seem to SUCK to various degrees. I have as much trouble uploading as you guys seem to have downloading.

Wow!

Is this the show from around late September 1989??!!!

If so, I WAS THERE. :D

I had just flown to LA (from FL) to get a job and a place to live and saw the show advertised. To get a decent parking place I showed up around 3 PM and walked around Beverly Hills for a couple of hours. This was my first time to LA....night and day difference from FL.

I remember it being a great show....too bad no Paul!
I even met some guy who had flown in from Dallas for business
and saw the show advertised too.

Thanks a lot for this....I never thought I'd have it.

Fo' sho'. All for a good reason too so it's cool.

I still think some guy should suddenly appear on this forum and inform us all that he has 35 full RX shows on tape from 86-89, including Live Extreme Volume.

Oh yeah, and Tak has tons of PG audio guitar seminar stuff on tape, he said he'd upload that one day so we've still actually got something to look forward too. Yay.

I finally got round to watching this whole thing (in parts though) after I got a guy to send it to me on DVD re-formatted to full screen. Bruce is certainly going crazy during those solos. :o

Oni Logan.

I've heard that he was the original lead vocalist of Cold Sweat.

Reportedly, he left Cold Sweat to join Lynch Mob before Cold Sweat recorded their album.
