Post My Uncle's Hardcore Friend
my cousin invited me to see this guy's band practice in milwaukee, which is about a 2 hour drive from where i live. he is my uncle's bud and we all got invited. his band warmed up by playing superheroes. i was stoked! it was definitely hardcore. they played crue, dokken, shyboy by dlr, addicted to that rush, all kinds of awesome tunes. then he told us that in 87, he was in a huge convention in chicago or somewhere. he met and talked to billy sheehan and steve vai and backstage sure enough there was racer x. that makes me wish i wasn't born in 91.

Not unless he means the cool version recorded by the DLR band.

That would probably have been the Guitar World show. I think they did "Loud And Clear" and "Getaway". I've got it on a tape buried somewhere.

"Shy Boy" is on DLR's "Eat 'Em And Smile" from 86? but first appeared on Talas' "Sink Your Teeth Into That" in 1982
