Post Anyone up for doing a cover of Racer X' "Loud and Clear
Is anyone up for doing a cover of Racer X' "Loud and Clear"? I will handle the vocal parts. The guitars,bass,drums/drum programming can all be done by other forum members. (It has to be done well though!) There are some kick ass players here than can handle it. Let's do it...we'll send files via email...it will be fun!

Cool! As long as things are recorded to a click/sequenced drums things should work out fine. We'll send mp3s or WAV files via email. I will piece it all together and mix it down. It would be cool to get several different players involved. Let's make a checklist and get things started! Let's do the Extreme Volume I version and get two different players to handle the harmony licks/lead(s). If this works out,we'll do more tunes in the future.

-Rhythm Guitar One (Recorded to click/sequenced drums)
-Rhythm Guitar Two
-Lead Guitar One
-Lead Guitar Two
-Bass
-Drums (?)

We need someone to get things started by recording one of the rhythm guitar parts to a click track at the song tempo...I imagine that it is in the 157BPM range. This will start the ball rolling. Guitarist #1 can send the file to Guitarist #2 to do the second rhythm part and so on. In the end, there will be four guitar parts and one bass track that will need to be collected without the clicks to be pieced together. This will be relatively easy to do since everything would be recorded to the same tempo. We need two or more guitarists with good recording gear that can handle the guitars on "Loud & Clear." Richard Tull shreds...someone PM him!

wait, what if we got the man himself to do one of the parts?

cause then we would know that ATLEAST one part was done properly.

Excellent! I will put together a mock up of "Loud and Clear" with sequenced drums and bass...this might take a little so be patient. I'm quite busy doing my own stuff. (I imagine that Sean is pretty busy too.) Once I get some guitar tracks from Sean,we can have a drummer add acoustic drums and I'll add the vox,mix the tune down and send it to Ken.
