Post Second Heat - Track Order
I've always disliked the track order on Second Heat. Although Sacrifice is a good tune, it's not strong enough to be the opening track, IMO.

I would propose a much better track order would be ...

1. Motorman
2. Hammer Away
3. Scarified
4. Sunlit Nights
5. Gone Too Far

6. Heart of a Lion
7. Sacrifice
8. Moonage Daydream
9. Lady Killer
10. Living The Hard Way

I think Sacrifice is a brilliant opening track. The guitar during the opening is just too awesome for most humans to take in with out their heads exploding.

sacrifice is one of my favorite racer x songs. in fact, its probably one of my most favorite songs in general. the intro solos are awesome, and i can play nearly all of it except for bruce's sweeping bit. gettin' there tho.

never thought of this, but giving it a "closer look" I think an opening with Motorman would´ve been priceless.

I agree with that too, but if I had it my way, I would open with Heart of a Lion. Just saying...

I always liked the way that both Street Lethal and Second Heat opened with that volume swell at the beginning of the first track, it sets the whole album up to feel huge

But Heart of a Lion is perfect to open side 2. You do realize that Second Heat was orginally released on vinyl?

i would start with either Motorman or Gone too far.

Motorman seems to be winning! maybe on the REMASTER? (goes into fantasy world for a min)

Why would you open you're disc with an instrumental? "Scarified" should be somewhere in the middle of all the vocal tracks. Rookies.

"Frenzy" is more like an intro than a real song... :?

Speaking of Sacrifice, does anyone know if this tune was ever performed live? I don't remember them playing it at any of the shows I went to and I've never run across a bootleg recording of it being played live.

All of it except for Bruce's sweep? Isnt that just a 6 string Gmaj sweep? Id say the other parts are WAY harder.
