I won't dwell too much on this, as Ken has made all the relevant and valid comments. It just pisses me off for people to blame their lazy, tight-assed ways on how 'corrupt' the music industry is. True Paris Hilton has a video, maybe a song- I really don't know or care- and yes, this is the height of machiavellian methods on the record industry's behalf. They want to sell a product, and every ditsy girly teenager across the world will buy this because it's Paris. Does it have integrity? - No! But its a business and it will sell. Thats why it's called the music business. We can only thank God, Buddha, whoever, that bands like Racer X can uphold a little integrity by putting out good music every couple of years.

On the note of Racer X cd purchasing: How can the dude who started this thread state a longing desire to be a Racer X fan and request free shit in the same sentence? As a music fan, who is interested in the industry, I still feel pride in buying a band's products. Not only do I see it as an investment to my musical palette, but a method of support so that maybe one day the guys I'm supporting can scrape funds to make the magic happen again.

Rant Over.

!!!Rock!!!

Precisely Dave...

I am proud to pay and support the artists I want to succeed. THATS how the industry decides what to support.

Jeff gave me a free copy of THE FOOL....I still bought a real copy...

He added me on msn as well, saying what a big Racer X fan he was and if I could send him the cd. I asked if he had ANY Racer X cd's and he said no, just some mp3's from Getting Heavier... he said he wanted me to send it cuz he wanted to hear it before he would buy it.... He already had some mp3's

I told him he didn't have the right to call him self a (big) Racer X fan and that he should go and buy all the cd's (or at least 1)

Some gall.
Is there any surprise that we all just didn't go:

"Here! Have all this stuff for free! We've got even MORE! We'll flood your mailbox with all kinds of free stuff, friend! By all means, let us help you rape our favorite artist, & do it on their own website for one & all to see!"

A Racer X "fan" that hasn´t at least 1 original CD deserves to be killed.
