 John's pedal settings
I just acquired a Boss CS-2 compression/sustainer pedal. Does anyone know what John's settings are for the pedal?

Dude, 1 post in 3 years...
I am also too interested in John Alderete (as you can see by my banner), but it seems not too many people here are. I do know he had an old instructional video for the company backstage pass, and in this he might explain his settings.
Good luck, as he is a sick bass player!

yeah, no one talks about John.
We should hear more of him, also, we used to hear him lots on the first two R X albums, with his lead parts on scarified, and the bass extremely loud. But now we hear him less... that's too bad

Yeah, thats what I think. For me Old Skool Racer X is the bomb. I can just hear the fire and passion that went into some of it. On albums like Superheros I hear a band which hasn't progressed... Maybe it's just because John is'nt doing Bass solos anymore .
I'm going to post a thread about him now!

his style has completely changed
for his solo on Snowball of Doom 2 he uses some kind of wah and its more of a straight funk piece rather than the blistering monster that was Live Extreme 1......
.....
...oh how i miss those days
