Post can anyone give me some info on the pgm100?
Im a big paul gilbert enthusiast, like everyone else here (i think). Ive wanted a pgm model for a long time, since what better way is there to follow in the steps of your favoriute rockstar than by playing his gutiars.

The one im interested is in the pgm100, i just love the look of it. Im interested in how it compares with later models, like the current pgm301. Also, i want to know how much it costs, and where i can frikkin find one !!!

PGM100
Bound neck, rosewood fingerboard, sharkstooth inlay
Basswood body
Old style neck joint w/plate
Edge Tremolo
Ring mounted Dimarzio PAF Pros and direct mounted Jem single coil

PGM301
Maple fingerboard, reverse headstock
Basswood body
AANJ
Gotoh GTC101 hardtail bridge
Direct mounted Dimarzio PAF Pros and Jem single coil

Used 100s range from between $600-$1200 depending on what kind of shape they're in. Ebay, MAE Guitars, and Ishibashi music are good places to look. Keep checking the PGMs available thread too. When one comes up for sale, they usually find their way there. --Jason

The last few weeks have been pretty slow for PGM's on ebay. If you are patient enough more will come up or sale.

If you need a trem the 100 will be better since it has one. If you prefer hardtails then the 301 is better. Other than that they are both great guitars. Some people may like the 100 more because of the cool pink and blue colors.

I don't really think one is batter than the other. They are just slightly different. Its all personal preference. Some peole may like maple fretboards better than rosewood, or they may like bound necks.

If you can't wait to get a PGM get a 301 now and wait till a 100 comes up. If you love PGM's like some of us it will be hard to stop at just 1. I bought 3 PGMs last year and have plans too add a few more.

I got close to putting my PGM100 on ebay. It's in great condition too. If I ever do I'll probably let you guys know about it first before I put it up.
