I was thinking is it possible to buy this guitar somewhere and if you have a good picture of it can you post it for me?

They aren't made anymore. They are refered to as "lawsuit copies" . Correct me if i'm wrong. I believe I read that he bought those on ebay or some of the "pointy" ones he uses now.

He has been playing Rocket Roll V's. I think they were made in the 80's. Those are not lawsuit models though since they have the ibanez headstock.

Correct me if i'm wrong but..The lawsuit ibanez models were the Ibanez les pauls that had more or less the same shape of headstock as original gibson les pauls

The "lawsuit" models had more to do with headstock design rather than the bodies. Here are a couple of links about them. --Jason

Guitars can be made with the Gibson headstock shapes, but they have can't be made for the US market. The Epiphone elites for the Japanese market, and the Tokai gibson copies for the foreign market use the gibson shaped headstocks.

Occasionally ESP Japan will still make some explorers with the gibson style body and headstock instead of the pointy ESP style. ESP usa won't even do it for a custom order.
