Post PGM30 + DImarzio Evo
okay i just bought a cheap dimarzio evo. now i have no wiring experience and the shop is too expensive. so okay here it goes.. what do i do?! i opened the back.. there was 3 wires.. green, white and grey which are all hooked to the pickup selector.. but the dimarzio has 5, red, green and grey together, black and white together.. so where do i put them? exactly where they were? plus on the dimarzio site their diagram said to put the green and grey on the pot.. but non of the ones on the stock pickups were on there... lost and confused

There is more than one way to wire it up. Here are some diagrans from the Ibanez website. It looks like the grey and green can be grounded by connecting to the pot. Or they can be connected to the switch which is connected to the pot. It depends on what switch you have for how to do it. The 30 has a different switch than the 300, 500, 800 etc.

Hope that helps a little.

The circuit is probably essentially the same, but there are different parts used.

well for one thing.. when i look at what people say.. there's always something about a wire connected to the pots but there was non of the original ones which was connected to the pots. there was wire hooked to the side of the pickups selector which had a wire to the the pot. but i think i get the idea of wat xjustic09x said. so thanks 8)
