Welcome to the board! :D
Actually, there's another Street Lethal on this message board.
Hope this won't be a problem.

Welcome to the board.

There are plenty of people looking for 800's. Good luck finding one.

You want to trade your 10TH for an 800?

Not that I will do it (some temptation ;-)) but could you post good pics of your 10TH?

What else do you have....a 200???

Post pgm`s
Hi , yes would not let it go normaly but I picked up another 10th in a deal for some gear and I don`t really need two , just passing on the good fortune if someone wanted to do a trade, I can supply pics of it to any interested parties not a problem..

Yea I was street lethal on the old PGM SITE , so now I am street-lethal with the dash on this board LOL!!!

Yes have other pgms in the collection, two 500`s two 90th`s, a super minty 200, a 301, a beautiful 300 and the other 10th, love them all I sold my 800 as I thought it was too weighty but it did have a great tone that I really liked, so now hoping to score another one..

Chris... :D

May (Only may!) consider - can you post pics of 10NT on board? Just got my 800 signed by PG at a clinic last week if that makes a difference.

If you have them hosted:

If not, send them to me. I'll put them up.

If I didn't already have a 10TH, I would be all over this!

Yes I am seriously tempted but need to see pics. Eddie - there seems to be a lot of 10NT with warped necks for sale - is this a common problem. Eddie can you also confirm tone compared with 800 and 301??

I only know of MAE's 10TH with a warped replaced neck.

10TH has a warm, rich heavy tone due to the mahogany body. But the maple top brings out the highs nicely. Great tone and sustain.

800 has a snap to it due to the swamp ash body. With clean channels, you can get a nice twang, but when you go dirty channel, it can rage.

301 I can't speak for. I have a 300 and I would say it is right in the middle of these other 2 mentioned. I can get a nice VH tone (circa late 70's). I am sure the 301 would sound even better with the fixed bridge.

MAN! If my 800 didn't sound and play so freakin' good, I'd consider trading it. On paper it's a hell of a deal, but I'm afraid I would regret trading it off after I started playing the 10th. The 800 is just the most perfect sounding guitar ever. To me anyway! I don't know though, those split block inlays are damn sexy. You wouldn't want to just sell the 10th would you? --Jason

I agree it is a good deal, but I have seen more 10ths come up for sale than 800s so if you did trade an 800 you better be prepared that you may never find another one. I was talking to MAE about buying the 10th and for the money they are asking it is a good deal. They have to disclose the neck warping but from what I understand it is so slight that with perhaps a bit of fret leveleling (might not need any) would allow you to get nice playing action without any buzz. The 10th is a nicer guitar and is worth more than an 800 on paper but the reality is that supply and demand makes the 800 more attractive to some people. I would rather have the 800 because I want to play the guitar and I would be too afraid to bang up a 10th.

If you count every time MAE had relisted the 10th with the warped neck, I've seen more 10ths than 800's. Otherwise i've seen more 800's.

If you are patient and look hard enough another 800 would eventually show up. They are not as rare as the 200, 600, 700, or PGA 1000 all which I have seen for sale in the last 12 months.

If I had an 800 I would consider the trade. I'm happy enough for now with a 200 and a 500.

Well I was seriously interested in this until I rang Customs and discovered I would be charged a 3.7% Import Duty and 17.5% VAT tax - whatever happened to fair trade!!

Hey guys thanks for all the personal responses, yea if I already did not have a current pgm 10th this one would be going nowhere, I have seen quite a few 800 in the last year or so overseas mainly like Jap . and even a good amount in germany, just none that I would consider buying as they all seem to be in whiped condition for the asking prices. If I consider selling the 10th outright I will post it here first so the members can take advantage, as I was asked this question many times.

Hey David thanks for the offer on the monster gear trade dude, I really appreciated it but realy can`t use all that stuff currently. ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!

Regards Chris........

What kind of shape is the 10th in? Were you going to be able to post some pictures today? --Jason
